Primula
The plant you see in the photo is my one and only primula, and it has been reappearing in my Zone 3 garden year after year, not getting bigger, but not diminishing either. It occupies its place like a little pink princess, sitting elegantly under my Japanese lilac tree, arriving before its garden companions realize that it’s time to wake up.
If my imagination were a tad more vivid, I could easily convince myself that my shy garden fairy likes being in the vicinity of the primula. They seem to suit one another.
I’m sorry I can’t offer the name of the primula. I lost its proper title years ago, and in shorthand fashion just call it my pretty Primula.
